There have been hundreds of lawsuits and two Fosamax class action lawsuits that Merck and Co., have been facing. Thousands of individuals sued Merck because of unlawful production and distribution of the product Fosamax, a drug that is thought to have the properties of curing osteoporosis and number of bone diseases.

The disease was known as osteonecrosis of the jaw. This disease has no cure that is why the victims were very desperate to file a Fosamax lawsuit to the mentioned company. What the victims want to get out of the lawsuit is a financial compensation that was associated with the disease they get out of taking the medicine.

The response of the company of this controversy was stated in their website which has talked about jaw problems to people that will take it but only after teeth are pulled. They even said that there is no reason to stop taking the drug because the drug continues to work.
